Introduction
Ideas can change the world, only if they are tested in grueling environments and later transformed into reality. Conquest is a business event, organised by the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, BITS-Pilani to help realize these ideas. It calls out to all those ideas that are lying in the closet of your minds since eons, to set them to action and blaze a trail. Conquest is the ultimate business challenge. It doesn't just invite your business plans and provide professionals to mentor you but tests if you have the mettle to live up to the trying circumstances of starting up.
In six years, Conquest has grown from an intra-BITS business challenge to an international event drawing entries from teams with diverse backgrounds. Conquest has carved a niche among business challenges in the country and has received accolades from eminent people across the industry, thanks to its unique simulation rounds. Conquest has been a vital springboard for most of its participants, who have gone on to start successful businesses and get recognized as promising young entrepreneurs. 4 out of the last 6 winners of Conquest have successfully started-up, and that too within a year of the competition.
The aim of the event is to dissect the entrepreneurial abilities of the aspirants from different backgrounds. This event will be unique in the sense that it does not fit into the perspective of a normal business quiz or a Business plan competition. Instead, it tries to put the participants on the grill and is an exhibition of grit, consistency and spontaneity mixed with risk mitigation abilities, making it a reflection of their leadership qualities and the entrepreneurial element in them.
Why Conquest?
Conquest will be an important step in your venture's life because the judges and mentors who will view your plans are some of the most talented and successful, entrepreneurs and investors. All plans which reach the penultimate stage get detailed feedback from judges. Every finalist gets a legal, business and technical mentor. In the past, judges and mentors have joined a Conquest finalist as an advisor or a board member or an investor.
